    Bushfire Safety EXPO 2009

    Warrandyte Fire Brigade is hosting a Bushfire Safety EXPO on Saturday 17th October from 10am to 5pm. The EXPO will be taking place at the Warrandyte fire station, Harris Gully Road Warrandyte.

    The EXPO will provide residents in high fire risk areas access to equipment, services and information that will help them prepare for the coming fire season. There will be a number of Information sessions, displays, trade stands, childrens activities and much more…

    Information & Displays Include:

    *CFA bushfire information sessions
    *Community Fire Guard information
    *Manningham Council – Advice on vegetation management and removal, Information on the Wildfire Management Overlay and general information.
    *Parks Victoria & DSE – Information and maps showing planned fuel reduction burns in the Warrandyte area, firefighting equipment and vehicles
    *Wildlife Rescue Information and advice

    Trade stands will display:

    *Fire fighting pumps, hoses and hand tools
    *Water tanks and water saving products
    *Sprinkler systems for bushfire protection
    *Bushfire window shutters, radiant heat glazing and gutter protection
    *Personal safety clothing and equipment
    *Building code information
    *Fire extinguishers, fire blankets and smoke alarms
